REMINDER TO BREEDERS: RETURN MARE RESIDENCY FORMS
Monday, 30 November 2009 09:35
“While we had a good initial response to the mare residency program with many arrival forms sent in, we have only received a fraction of the required 180-day declaration & leave forms, which signify that the mare has fulfilled her 180-day requirement in New York State,” said Goold. “I cannot stress enough that breeders must return the forms whether the mare is a full time resident or 180-day resident of the state. You will not be eligible to receive a mare residency bonus award if you do not send it all of the required forms.”
The Fund has extended its deadline to receive the “180-day mare residency declaration/leave” forms to December 31, 2009. All forms must be postmarked by December 31, 2009. Please note that typically these forms are due to the Fund within 14 days of the end of the 180-day period and the Fund will adhere to this deadline in future years.
If you wish to be eligible for a mare residency bonus award and have already sent in the required “arrival and declaration” forms, you must return the “180-day declaration & leave” form(s) if:
1.) You had a mare(s) reside on your farm for 180-days during the 2009 breeding season and bred her to a NY-stallion(s).
2.) You have a fulltime resident mare(s) that resides on your farm all year and was bred to a NY-stallion(s) during the 2009 breeding season.
