All breeders are reminded that if you wish to be eligible for the New York Sire Stakes resident mare bonus award you must submit the appropriate paperwork to the Agriculture & NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund (Fund) in Albany.

Dream State Wins Fastest of 3 NYSS Late Closer Trots at Monticello

Monticello, NY  -  On Tuesday, August 3, Monticello Raceway played host to three divisions of  sophomore trotting fillies  in the New York Sire Stakes late closer program and when the results of each event were official Dream State,  Dream Speech and Study Hall emerged victorious in their respective $13,200 divisions.  Zeke Parker won two of three trots.

Batavia, NY --- It was week two of the Batavia Downs Casino Summer/Fall meet and it also kicked off the 2010 New York Sire Stakes season.  If Monday night was any indication of what Western New York racing fans have to look forward to, this is going to be one fun summer.

Three NYSS 3-Year-Old Late Closers for Filly Trots on Tap at Monticello on Tuesday, August 3

Monticello, NY, August 2, 2010  -  The beat goes on in the rich New York Sire Stakes program with three late closer divisions for 3-year-old trotting fillies on tap at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday afternoon, August 3.  Two seven-horse splits will each be contested for a purse of $13,200 while the 6-horse field—in race one-- will compete for $13,100.  They will go as races  one, four and five on the 15-race card that day.
