VERNON, NY  -  Denver Dolly overcame driving rain and a sloppy track to deliver a career-best 1:56.4 victory in Thursday night’s second division of a $39,400 New York Sires Stake late-closing contest for 2-year-old male pacers at Vernon Downs.

Nichols, NY  -  It was the Jim Morrill Jr. show on Saturday night, August 28, at Tioga Downs that featured three divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for 3-year old colt pacers, each for $51,209.  The fastest mile of the night came in the third division when Morrill steered Joey The Czar to an easy victory at 1-9 in 1:51.3.
