National Racing License
The National Racing Compact is an independent, interstate governmental entity, composed of pari-mutuel racing regulators from participating states. It establishes uniform requirements for and issues licenses to participants in pari-mutuel racing and reduces the regulatory burden on those participants in pari-mutuel racing. |

NYS Racing & Wagering Board
The State Legislature established the New York State Racing and Wagering Board in 1973 as the state’s governing body for horse racing and pari-mutuel activities. Pursuant to statute, the Board has "general jurisdiction over all horse racing activities and all pari-mutuel betting activities, both on-track and off-track, in the state and over the corporations, associations, and persons engaged therein." |
